Friday

It seems like earlier I had intended to do something interesting with my Friday. What I did instead was troll the YouTube comedy category in, I guess, a feeble attempt to enjoy myself on the cheap. Instead, I learned that YouTube's comedy category isn't even the tiniest bit funny. Seriously, this stuff is picked by editors who work at frickin' YouTube, world's most awesome corporation. You'd think they'd be pretty hilarious people. You'd be wrong, though. This is the best clip I found. Happy weekend.

Isn't funny or die the one that's supposed to be funny? I thought Ed Helms was pretty funny in the Zombie American stuff there, but I don't find Will Ferrell(one of the founders) funny. Of course the only time I ever find SNL to be funny is when they show Belushi era reruns, so maybe I'm not the one to judge. You want funny? Try:

there's a fair bit of good comedy on Youtube, especially things people have, ah, expropriated from various broadcast media. Try searching for particular shows or standup comics (I, who have essentially no British ties, recommend British comedy especially; there seems to be a lot more standup and sketch comedy broadcast over there).
