From the EPA report mentioned below, here's a table from which we can extrapolate the impact of farting on global warming. Republicans love mentioning this one:
So the farting problem (enteric fermentation) is improving, while the (much greater) problems of fuel burning and, well, just about everything else within human control, are getting worse. My proposal: suggest to Republicans that if we get the tonnage of methane emissions caused by "enteric fermentation" below 5000Gg per year, then they drop the "cow fart" complaint altogether. Assuming they accept the proposal, we quite simply place Dennis Hastert into a sequestration chamber for the rest of his life, drastically reducing methane emissions, and then get back to addressing the real sources of the crisis.
hahaha. i'd rather see Dennis hooked into the methane recovery system from some landfill than sequestered. Some kind of flexible hose (a 50 ft. length should do), so he can get to the range grass to feed. Continuous processing. BTW: why do the Brits say 'me-thane' instead of 'meth-ane'?
While we are at it, hooking up most of the Senate is kool too - I hear that the Senate dining room's bean soup is to die for.

Finally, a time to call for dealing with the environmental ravages depicted so graphically in the powerful graphic novel Terry Toots

The question is: will the president sign the F.L.A.T.U.S. accord? (Fermenting Lactose Across The United States)
