Most conservative who want to go to war with Iran only support bombing obliquely. They fearmonger and point to things which they say (with great sadness of course) will make bombing Iran a tragic necessity. What they really mean to say is what Norman Podheretz has finally said outright. In the Wall Street Journal of course. And he took what looks like a couple thousand words to do it. Here's a link. Christ, this is scary! If someone in Iran had written something like this about one of the clerics, I guess I wouldn't be surprised, but this is... words elude me.
