Politico follows the plight of those poor moderate Republicans who can now--finally--vote almost exactly as they want to vote. Which means, of course, that they vote with Democrats much of the time. I think both those of us who have no sympathy for the fraud caucus and those who feel bad for them and their fraudulent plight should agree that everything would be better for both camps if, say, Norm Coleman proposed an amendment to the Constitution that turned the United States into a parliamentary democracy. First, and most importantly, he'd have my support. But also, if said amendment made it past the, well, significant hurdles it would face, then RINOs would no longer be RINOs, but would instead be whatever they wanted to call themselves. Also, they would have a fairly large and influential party, and they could vote however they wanted, and everybody's problems would be solved.
I'm changing my name to DIDO: Democrat in Deed Only. (Really, the Republicans have better parties and I still want to be invited). Or you can just call me a self-indulgent sonuvabich with a switchable conscience.
