I want every D.C. reader to calm down for a second and pay attention when I say that Cingular works fine in D.C....which means you can all run out and buy an iPhone. Honestly, though, I hope people don't. Not because I think it's a bad idea (though I do). But because it will be damn near impossible for me to resist my own temptation to be the proud owner of such a sleek, sexy, shiny, statusy, multifarious contraption, if all of my friends are carrying theirs around. And I simply can't afford one. So please. Friends. Stay away from the iPhone*, and we'll all survive together somehow.
*=unless one of my wealthier readers would like to mail me one, in which case I don't care what any of you do.
Don't waste your money. Or ask for something worthwhile from your wealthier readers.
